Millwall FC approached Banner World with a unique request, they required a huge custom-shaped banner to fit to the end of one of their spectator stands measuring 21 metres wide by 11 metres deep.
Banner World advised on the correct material – PVC Mesh 330gsm. PVC mesh has tiny holes in the material, allowing air to partially pass through which reduces wind-loading on the banner and the structure it is fitted to.
Banner World also specified the finishing on the banner, which in this case included strengthened hems and heavy-duty eyelets. The requirement was that the banner would last for 2 seasons.
Mission accomplished, as 2 years after their first order, Millwall obtained a new sponsor for the stand-end and another banner was ordered.
