What Is Large Format Printing?
Large Format Printing is also called ‘wide-format printing’, ‘superwide-format printing’ or ‘grand-format printing’. It refers to printed graphics which are too large to print on commonly available desktop printers (A4, A3) and commercial printing presses (B1, B0). Large-format printing machines can print onto media up to 5 metres wide in some cases.
Our philosophy is to always use fit-for-purpose premium grade materials for signage and graphic display products. Our costs are kept low thanks to high volume production and efficiency in planning and logistics – not by using cheaper inferior materials and fabrics.
Materials we print on at large-format include a range of banners such as PVC Premium, Mesh PVC, Eco-Friendly Banner, Polyester Fabrics, Canvases, Papers, Self-Adhesive Vinyl and more.
Pre-Press
Our pre-press work is done using the latest Apple Mac computers and software such as Adobe Creative Suite. Your files will be checked before print, and you will be advised immediately if we spot any issues.
Print Technologies
Our plant list includes printers up to 5m wide, using print technologies such as Dye Sublimation, UV, Eco-Solvent and Latex. Different print technologies are used for specific materials and fabrics, with inks being carefully sourced on reliability and consistency. Each product is printed at an optimal resolution, up to 2880dpi in some cases, to produce bold, vibrant and vivid displays.
Finishing
Key to any successful product such as a large format graphic, banner or flag is the methods and technology used to finish it. Poor finishing can limit the lifespan of a product. At Banner World, our finishing techniques and technologies are legendary – including lamination, die-cutting, stitching, high-frequency welding, eyeletting and much more.
