More Information »

Crowd Banners and Flags can be made to any size and are usually finished to individual stadium or event specifications. Easy to carry or pass the banner along safely or crowd banners come complete with handles around the outer. We also offer the option of eyelets around the outer of your crow banner if this is preferred. These are ideal for your next sporting event, used as pitch flags featuring team badges or as high-quality crowd surfing banners and flags.

Fabric Crowd banner options

Polyester custom crowd flag

As standard, we print our crowd flags on 115 knitted polyester material. The polyester material is lightweight and easy to fold for storage which is an added benefit.

Air-mesh crowd flag printing

If required, we can also print on 115 polyester air mesh. The air mesh material has holes in the fabric to allow air to travel. Having holes in the material makes them less likely to catch gusts of wind. The lightweight fabric is easy to handle, however large it may be.

Our Crowd Flags and Banners are suitable for indoor or outdoor use, as the polyester-based fabric is weather-resistant and dries quickly after taking rain.

Printed crowd banners

Printed in full colour, we can print your crowd banner to any design and photographic quality. Using a full-colour process means you can design your flag to any colour design and include images if you wish. The print process is a specialised fabric printing process called dye sublimation. The dye sublimation printing technique allows us to print vivid, crisp images and colour to and design. Another benefit to dye sublimation printing is the printed surface is fade-resistant, waterproof and colours won’t run.

Additional options for crowd banners

If required, we can add securing points to your banner. Some crowd banners can be attached to the seating in stadiums. The banner finishing option for this application would be reinforced hem and eyelets. A reinforced hem uses a special reinforcement tape which we stitch into the banner and the eyelet. The reinforcement process adds additional strength to the outer perimeter of the banner, strengthening your crowd flag.

Stadium seating banner printers

Stadium seating banners are perfect for advertising in unused spaces and making use of vacant seating areas in stadiums. Seating banners are manufactured the same way as a crowd flag. Sometimes on seating banners, you’ll normally require an extra 300-500mm of extra material or bleed around the banner’s outer. The extra bleed can wrap the banner over the rear chair rows and the front chair rows, covering the seat. Whatever your requirements, we can customise your seating banner to your own bespoke needs.

Large crowd banners that fold up small

Crowd Banners and Flags pack up incredibly small, with a 10-metre x 10-metre banner weighing in at only around 12kg. Alternative materials are available, including Mesh Flag, 210gsm polyester, blockout fabric and flag material.

Fire-rated crowd flags

All fabrics are flame retardant meaning that they are safe to use and store within and around stadiums and public spaces. British and European certificates are available upon request and may be required to be shown at most stadia and venues. It’s always best to check with the stadium or event organiser for crowd banner specification before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions »

How big can you make crowd flags and banners?

To any size. Our machines print at up to 3.2 metres wide. Larger flags and banners are seamed together in panels.

Do artworks automatically go to print or are they checked?

Yes we check all artworks upon receipt of your order.

What material is this product printed on?

We use 115gsm polyester as this is a very light fabric that can be easily stored or carried.

Can these be made so they can be carried on a march using poles?

Yes we can finish them with pole pockets on the sides. The pockets will be stitched closed at the top to prevent the banner sliding down the poles. Things to consider when having this kind of banner made is overall size and weight. If it is too big is can act like a big sail in the wind which will make it harder for people to carry.

Can it be printed double sided?

No this is a single sided product only. You will get a reverse show through on the back.If you want a double sided product check out our double sided fabric but bare in mind that this will be a lot heavier.

Do the large crowd banners have carry handles?

Yes we can put carry handles around the edges of the banner / flag so many people can carry at once. The handles are normally place ever 1m around the edges. Please select the carry handles option in the finishing instruction.

Can we peg a large banner into soft ground or grass?

Yes we recommend using tent pegs through eyelets to peg the banner into the ground.

Buying banners in confidence

You can buy from Banner World with confidence. Your job will go through several checks before manufacture. Firstly when your job comes in, we check all your uploaded files and cross-reference each file against your order. At this point, if we see that artwork is incorrect or if there is a file missing we will contact you to request new artwork. Most of our banners and fabrics are manufactured at our large print factory in Europe. Our standard turnaround on items is 5-6 working days for delivery. Even though most of our ordering system has been automated, we still carry out several manual checks before processing your order. If at any point we have a question or a problem with your order you will be contacted before manufacturing.

Our processes

Please read the information below on how your order is processed. Each order goes through several checks before printing. Our file checking service is standard procedure on all orders. Checking your files means that you can place your order in confidence, knowing that we will check to make sure your order and corresponding artwork match and are correct. Anything we are not sure that we will contact you before proceeding.

What is Our Initial checking service?

When you place an online order, we will cross-reference your artwork against your order. At this point, we will check that the artwork sizes and file type match the order. We will make sure we have the correct number of artwork files for the job. At this stage, if anything appears to be incorrect, we will place the order on hold and contact you immediately.

How do we process your order?

Once we are happy with your order, we will then process it. We collate all the information for each job, including finishing and material type. The job information is then sent with your artwork to the pre-press department. Pre-press is where we will create and prepare your job for printing.

Our Pre Press and second checking service.

Pre-press refers to the stage before printing. Here your artwork is converted into the correct format for our machines and finishing processes. At this point, if something is spotted which isn’t correct or if there is a problem we will again contact you.

How do we print and track your order through the factory?

Your job is now batched together with other items on the same material. Each item has assigned to it a unique code. The code is used to track the order through our factory. The information is used to check the material, quantity and finishing information on the item. The order then goes through our print presses.

How do we finish your printed items?

Every job we produce is different to the next, whether it be size, material, shape or finishing. Your printed items will be finished as requested on your order. We automate as much of the finishing as possible, cutting down on labour costs and passing on the savings to you. The Prepress data is inputted into parts of our finishing equipment. Your graphics are now finished to your custom requirements. Each printed product is set up differently for each type of finishing process. A banner that has hem and eyelets will be manufactured and produced in a different way to a flag with a pole pocket.

How are your items packed?

We have now manufactured your items. The finishing pieces now move onto the packing department. At the packing stage, we collate your order. Items get checked off against the order using the order code system. The printed goods get wrapped and packed, ready for despatch.

How do you ship my goods?

Now your item has been packed it is ready to be shipped. From placing your order, your goods have taken approx 24-48 hours to get to this stage. We have a logistics team which arrange the shipping through UPS. Our standard delivery (£15 or free over £250) will now take an additional three days to be delivered to an address on UK mainland and most of mainland Europe. Our standard shipping will travel via road and sea to reach the UK. We do offer a faster 1-day shipping method which is our 4-day turnaround service. The fast turnaround service is expensive on low-value bulky orders and is more cost-effective on higher volume jobs. Items to the US and other worldwide destinations will take longer to be delivered. For items going to Ireland, the Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Scottish highlands etc. please add an extra day onto delivery times
